Solemnity of the Assumption: Tuesday is a holy day of obligation and there will be Mass in St Machan’s at 10.00am and St Paul’s at 7.30pm.

Medical Missionaries of Mary Appeal: This Sunday, a sister from the Medical Missionaries of Mary will be at all Masses to speak about the work they do and to make an appeal for you to support their work.

Next Sunday: There will be a special collection next Sunday for the African Missions and Holy Places.

Holidays: I will be away from the parish 14th August – 1st September; Canon Conway will still be here. Masses on Sunday 20th and 27th will be at the usual times. In the event of an emergency, please contact Fr Hattie at Blanefield. His number is 01360 770300. Please see the timetable for changes to services.

National Pilgrimage to Carfin: This is on Sunday 3rd September at 3.00pm and it is led by Archbishop Tartaglia. It is in honour of Our Lady of Fatima and the consecration of Scotland to the Immaculate Heart of Mary will take place. A bus will be going from St Machan’s and can pick up at St Paul’s. If you are interested please contact Karen (Parish Secretary) as soon as possible on 310 276 (Mon, Tues and Friday). There will be a small donation requested towards travel costs.

Iona Pilgrimage for Youth: This is a pilgrimage for 16-29 year olds from Edinburgh to Iona led by Archbishop Cushley. It takes place 9th – 10th September. There is further information at the back of the church for anyone who is interested.

Quiz Night: There will be a Quiz Night in the hall on Friday 15th September at 7.30pm. Advance notice to save the date if you would like to attend.

Parish Trip: A second advance notice to save the date if you would like to attend the parish trip to Dunfermline on Saturday 30th September. There will be more information to come in the next few weeks.
